Founded by Haitham Shoman, Qalam Health Solutions is developing a handheld intraoperative device to detect bone cancer margins in real time, a groundbreaking innovation with the potential to transform surgical oncology. By empowering surgeons with instant and precise tools that reduce cancer recurrence and avoid unnecessary tissue removal, they aim to improve patient outcomes worldwide.

Their goal to make advanced diagnostics accessible, portable, and equitable, reaching not only top-tier hospitals but also underserved and remote communities globally.

As part of the CLIP, Qalam Health Solutions will be co-located alongside clinicians at the Montreal General Hospital and RI-MUHC | Research Institute of the MUHC | #rimuhc. Our ecosystem will support their pre-clinical testing, prototype development, and provide access to a network of experienced mentors to guide their regulatory journey.
