We are thrilled to welcome Sonaro to the CLIP Community!

Co-founded by Dr. Kashif Khan, MD, PhD (CEO) and Dr. Karina Gasbarrino, PhD (Scientific Lead), Sonaro is developing an AI-powered, single-sweep 3D carotid ultrasound platform that transforms a traditional 30–60 minute vascular exam into a standardized one-minute scan, enabling rapid and accessible stroke-risk assessment.

Their mission is to make early detection of carotid disease effortless, reliable, and scalable across primary care and hospital systems, ultimately helping prevent thousands of avoidable strokes.

As part of the CLIP, Sonaro will be co-located alongside clinicians at the Montreal General Hospital and RI-MUHC | Research Institute of the MUHC | #rimuhc. Our ecosystem will support them as they expand their clinical dataset, complete FDA-ready validation, and scale pilot deployments within primary care and vascular clinics. Through commercialization mentorship, regulatory guidance, and connections with our key opinion leaders, the CLIP will help accelerate the path to real-world adoption of their single-sweep carotid screening technology.
